Froot Loops may be a bunch of different colors in your cereal bowl, but each little nugget is the same flavor as the next – a combo of orange, lemon, lime, apple, cherry, raspberry, and blueberry. Mixed together with corn, wheat, oats, sugar, all kinds of food coloring, and milk – Froot Loops are a little flashback to childhood fortified with vitamins and minerals.
Thomas’ Froot Loops Mini Bagel do taste just like Froot Loops breakfast cereal – which turns out to be a bad thing. (Maybe you’ll decide otherwise.) My first thought: “That tastes exactly like Froot Loops!” My second thought: “I don’t remember Froot Loops tasting the way lemon Pledge Furniture Polish smells!”
The texture is that combo of firm and moist you get from supermarket bagels. Maybe a slather of cream cheese would bring the lemon blast down to acceptable levels and add back the missing dairy and sweetness of childhood. Bonus – the flecks of color make Froot Loops Mini Bagels look moldy even though they’re fresh off the shelf.
